The handmade QASHQAI WOOL rug with MEHRAABY(Altar design) as the pattern with RECTANGLE shape in 6 SQ.M type and size (290×203 cm) in COTTON weft & wrap & WOOL piles with an area of 5.9 sq.m by the weight of 24 KG and by the linage of 40. As with numerous other nomadic tribes, the Qashqai Rugs and Qashqai carpets are woven by women. Qashqai rugs have a woolen pile, with a woolen warp and weft, and are woven on a horizontal loom pegged out on the floor. The weft thread is usually distinctive in that it is usually a shade of red. Historically, the marketplace for their rugs and textiles has been Shiraz, Iran which is located between their summer and winter pastures.
